Our favourite festive window displays November 30, 2017 0 comments The festivities are now in full swing and retailers have fully unveiled their Christmas marketing efforts. Many high-street stores have transformed their window displays into dazzling show stoppers that are driving more footfall than ever before! Checkout some of our favourites so far: Selfridges Image by Elias Jahshan, Retail Gazette: https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2017/10/selfridges-1st-department-store-christmas-windows/ During mid-October when many of us were yet to carve our pumpkins, Selfridges launched their Christmas window display – pipping every other department store in the country to the post. The retailers ‘With Love From’ window display is said to celebrate the spirit of London, Birmingham and Manchester whilst also capturing the retailers unique sense of fun. Marks & Spencer Image by Dianne Bourne, Manchester Evening News: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/shopping/gallery/manchesters-best-christmas-windows-displays-13889610 This Christmas, Marks & Spencer have teamed up with the treasured British icon – Paddington Bear – launching their Paddington and the Christmas visitor campaign. The partnership coincided with the release of the Paddington 2 film which was released earlier in November. According to the retailer the 15,000 stuffed toys made to tie-in with the campaign sold-out within 3 days from launch! We love the traditional festive pallete used throughout this display plus it’s quintessentially British to boot! H&M Image by Dianne Bourne, Manchester Evening News: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/shopping/gallery/manchesters-best-christmas-windows-displays-13889610 We love this H&M Christmas window display spotted in Manchester. It’s simple but effective persona is in stark contrast to their recently launched Christmas advert which features world-renowned artist Nicki Minaj and actor-activist Jesse Williams. Fenwick Newcastle Image by Fenwick Ltd: https://www.fenwick.co.uk/daily-muse/articles/fenwick-newcastles-christmas-window-2017-unveiled-love-from-paddington Another retailer that’s opted with a Paddington Bear theme is Fenwick Newcastle, the highly anticipated launch attracts huge crowds every year and is an integral part of the regions festive calendar. Previous years have seen themes such as Beatrix Potter, The Night Before Christmas and Alice in Wonderland. The reveal event marks 365 days of planning and 3,500 hours of work since the initial window sketches.
